 Welcome to My Website!
Let me introduce myself. I am Carin Rubenstein. I'm a writer and journalist with a Ph.D. in social/personality psychology. I'm the author of BEYOND THE MOMMY YEARS, published by Springboard Press, about what happens to women when their children leave home. It is based on original research I conducted, using a Web survey, which about 1,000 mothers have answered. If you are one of those mothers, thank you for helping me out! I also write a blog, tivolady.com, that focuses on Living the Boomer Life. I write about my opinions on television shows, movies, and books, from a boomer perspective, one in which the world does not just revolve around those who are under the age of 30. Or 25. Or 35.
Right now, I'm also working on a new book project, about marriage. I have designed another provocative survey, and I'm looking for wives and husbands who are willing to tell me - in great detail - about how their marriage works, about who does what around the house, about who's in charge, and about how they persuade each other to be more cooperative. I'm working on a book about marriage, and I need your help!
If you are a Wife or a Husband, I need you to tell me about life in the married lane. I want to know:
- Who does what at home?
- Who's in charge?
- Who's the family expert?
- How does your marriage work?
I've designed a survey that's relatively easy to answer. But it's also thought-provoking and and you'll gain some insight into your own life, too. I don't mind if you can't spell or if you make mistakes, as long as you tell the truth about what it's like to be married to your husband or wife.
